Description
 
The Cruiser's Crutch is Slope compensating angle gauge calibrated 0 to 90 degrees slope. The Cruiser's Crutch gives correct basal area readings for English BAF factors of 10, 20, 30 and 40. The Cruiser's Crutch is available in a Metric model for Metric BAF 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6.

The Cruiser's Crutch is made of Lexan and includes a 26" nickel chain with 4 brass balls (one for each BAF). To use the Cruiser's Crutch, line up the tree to be measured with the appropriate slope percentage line on the gauge. The tree can be counted if it is wider at DBH (Diameter at Breast Height) than the line you are sighting across on the angle gauge.
